Job Summary

REQUIREMENTS

  • A Bachelor's Degree in any of the following:Information Science Management,Archives and Records Management or any other relevant and equivalent qualifications from a recognized Institution.
  • Be proficient in computer Applications

Responsibilities

  • Participate in outpatient and inpatient monthly reports
  • Scanning onto the system and safe storage of hard copy consent forms
  • Filling i.e Patient files,reports,birth notification forms and other key correspondences
  • Process patient admission and discharge documents
  • Review records for completeness ,accuracy and compliance with regulations
  • Collection and filing,including electronically,of reports of other departments on a daily,weekly and monthly basis
  • Extract and analyse hospital and maternity data and statistics
  • Release information to persons and agencies according to regulations
  • Compile and maintain patient's medical records to document conditions and treatment and to provide data for research or cost control  and care improvement efforts
  • Preparation of quarterly /monthly meeting minutes
  • Extracting from the electronic health records hospital and maternity monthly reports
  • Analysing trends and communicating these to the  Busines manager
  • Maintaining Hospital surveillance reports
  • Assisting in the implementation of health record audits
  • Communicating issues regarding to client records with the business manager and clinical staff
  • Discharging all functions towards improving the quality  of the service by ensuring easy accessibility of the patients records  ensuring quality standards are maintained
  • Mainitaining confidentiality of all medical records
  • Providing guidance and advise to a range of people on all aspects of legislation relating to health records
  • Extracting data/entering data on to the HMIS

Job Requirements

Required education: Bachelor's degree
Required relevant work experience: 6 months
Required languages: English (Spoken: fluent | Written: fluent)
