Job Summary

Applications are invited from suitably qualified Ugandans to fill the following vacant posts existing in Agago District Local Government. Applications should be submitted in triplicate (Original in own handwriting) on Public Service Commission (PSC Form 3) Revised (2008) to the Secretary Agago District Service Commission P.O. Box 1 Agago to be received no later than 16th April 2020 at 05.00 p.m. Applicants should attach to each of the 3 application forms 3 sets of certified photocopies of their academic documents and 3 of their recent passport size photographs. Applications should bear the Title and Reference Number of the post applied for.
Applicants who are serving Officers should route their applications through their Responsible Officers who should be informed of the closing date to avoid delays. They should also attach copies of letter(s) of appointments, confirmation, and promotion if anywhere applicable
Job purpose:
To maintain the records in the Registry and Resource Centre in an accessible form to end-users.
Qualifications:
An Honours Bachelors Degree in Library and Information Science from a recognized Institution;

Responsibilities

i. Receiving, registering and classifying records;

ii. Opening files for keeping classified information and closing when due;
iii. Routing information and mails to officers responsible for action;
iv. Auditing records and record systems periodically in the district;
v. Organising and administering information in the registry and resource centre;
vi. Handling confidential matters as prescribed;

Job Requirements

Required education: Bachelor's degree
Required relevant work experience: 2 years
Required languages: English (Spoken: fluent | Written: fluent)
