Job Summary

Cytonn Investments is an independent investments management firm, with offices in Nairobi - Kenya and D.C. Metro - U.S. We are primarily focused on offering alternative investment solutions to global and local institutional investors, individual high net-worth investors, and diaspora investors interested in the East-African region.


Our investments are in real estate and private equity. Real estate investments are made through our development affiliate, Cytonn Real Estate, where we currently have over Kshs. 82 billion (USD 820 mn) of projects under mandate across ten projects. In private equity, we invest in banking, insurance, education, hospitality and technology. Our financial services investments in Sub Saharan Africa are made through our Cytonn Financial Services Fund (CFSF) through which we are the 5th largest shareholder in NIC Bank in Kenya. Investments in education and hospitality are made through Cytonn Education Services and Cytonn Hospitality, respectively.

To manage its rapid growth, Cytonn Investments is looking for a highly motivated, self-directed, dynamic and hardworking team player with strong leadership and entrepreneurial skills to join the firm as the Relationship Manager – Corporate Affairs. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the manager will oversee the Relationship Management staff and will work towards the development and management of Cytonn’s Stakeholders’ relations. The position will afford the individual a unique opportunity to participate in both a strong incentive structure and a clear path to a fulfilling career in Relationship Management.

REQUIREMENTS
  1. A bachelors degree with a minimum of second Class Honours, Upper Division
  2. A B+ and above in KCSE or equivalent
  3. At least 5 years’ corporate experience in stakeholder engagement/management, communications, consultation, or relevant field. Experience in a bank, fund manager, or any such local institution focused on financial services or real estate will be an added advantage
  4. Tertiary qualifications in communications, public relations, or a relevant field is an added advantage Ability to manage all stakeholders at all levels within an organisation
  5. Outstanding interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  6. Strong organizational and time management skills -ability to adhere to deadlines, multi-task and be able to prioritize
  7. Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, with great accuracy, organization, attention to detail and follow-through
  8. Entrepreneurial spirit with demonstrated creativity & innovation in business
  9. Ability to work closely with, grow and lead a team
  10. Highly developed relationship management skills
  11. Ability to manage all stakeholders at all levels within an organisation


Responsibilities

  1. Proactively developing and maintaining valuable stakeholder relationships, with all stakeholders including funding institutions, regulators, real estate stakeholders, and all stakeholders that interact with the Corporate office
  2. Assisting business units to effectively consult and engage stakeholders on relevant projects Developing and implementing Cytonn’s stakeholder engagement strategies and evaluating the effectiveness of these strategies
  3. Coordinate stakeholder contact through the implementation of a stakeholder contact management system
  4. Ensuring stakeholders are recognised as partners in the development and delivery of Cytonn’s strategic goals
  5. Conduct stakeholder satisfaction research projects, including developing and implementing strategies for continually improving stakeholder satisfaction across the firm
  6. Manage stakeholder forums, meetings and special events
  7. Advising senior management of issues and/or risks to stakeholder relationships as soon as they arise so risks can be managed effectively
  8. Ensuring Cytonn’s management and staff understand the value of, and are committed to the genuine participation of stakeholders in the development of products and services designed to meet stakeholder needs
  9. Weekly progress reporting on all stakeholders’ matters, on a timely basis
  10. Performing other job-related duties as assigned
