Job Summary

The Government of Kenya has received financing from the World Bank towards the financing of the Kenya Off-Grid Solar Access Project for under served counties (K-OSAP). The project covers a period of six years. The project development objective is to increase access to modern energy services in under served counties of Kenya. The project will be implemented in 14 counties.The Project will be implemented by the Ministry of Energy, Kenya Power and Lighting Company (KPLC) and Rural Electrification Authority (REA).


  1. Electrification of households, public facilities and businesses through mini-grid systems;
  2. Electrification of households through standalone solar systems and provision of clean cooking solutions for house-holds;
  3. Electrification of community facilities through standalone solar systems and solar water pumps for communities; and
  4. Technical assistance, including institutional development, capacity building and project implementation support.

Job Requirements

Required education: Bachelor's degree
Required relevant work experience: 3 years
Required skills: Performance monitoring and evaluation; Risk management; Power and energy solutions; Solar technology installations; Project implementation; Innovation processes
Required languages: English (Spoken: fluent | Written: fluent)
