Job Summary

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Head of Sales Marketing role is to lead a team of sales representatives to promote and grow the company’s revenue by generating sales plan, purchasing and vendor liaison, provide support, leadership and development to the sales team.

Key qualifications

  1. Relevant Bachelor's degree from an accredited university is required
  2. Experience in marketing methods and techniques will be necessary in order to effectively meet company and sales objectives.
  3. Knowledge and experience in the pharmaceutical industry may be required.
  4. Good understanding of the pharmaceutical industry, as well as marketing knowledge, including techniques for successfully promoting and selling products.
  5. Business knowledge, budgeting, strategic planning and resource allocation are also knowledge basics that any pharmaceutical-marketing job candidate should possess.
  6. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with and manage cross-functional teams.
  7. Solid communication skills including presentation, verbal and written abilities are a must.


Responsibilities

  1. Responsible for revenue generation across products and regions and ensure yields across products
  2. Ensure quality of distributor activities and area Sales Officers across region
  3. Responsible for interacting with foreign principals on technical support and commercial/pricing matters
  4. Keep a tab on arithmetic calculations, pricing structures, gross margin and profitability
  5. Responsible for Marketing and Sales and works through the Corporate and Brand Communication Manager and Sales Officers to achieve top line market share and achieve revenue and brand objectives
  6. Prepare business plan on business design, structure, process and operating plan and financial model
  7. Strategize and plan the sales process management, forecasting, pricing, key account management, expenses, profitability, new product development, market research and brand strategy
  8. Periodically review distributor performance through Sales Officers and check on gaps in performance and seek reasons and actionable steps to close the gaps
  9. Conduct effective and accurate market research and apply this information to increase market share
  10. Conduct regular meeting with distributors and sales team to discuss target status, product training and sales strategy
  11. Conduct customer or training seminars as per the requirement of regions
  12. Monitor and analyze all marketing and sales reports received from regional office and also distributor feedback
  13. Ensuring all approvals related to consultants and other Government authorized bodies are made in a proper and timely manner.
  14. Coordinate, prepare and launch new products for the assigned market(s) with cooperation of the respective sales department in the respective regions
  15. Ensure the confidentiality of the customer list, mailing lists and other sensitive company information.
  16. Motivate and monitor sales representatives in branch offices and distributors on marketing and sales activities
  17. Coordinate with administration, commercial and factory departments to ensure timely orders, and smooth function of action in the system.
  18. Update management on business process and operating plan and financial model and profitability
