Job Summary

Panthera Publishers is a company Ramco Plexus. We manufactures and markets bookmaking services and premium paper products such as diaries, notebooks and journals under the brand Footprints. The company is a joint venture between Ramco Plexus and Panthera Arts with a core focus on quality, consistency and on-time delivery.
We are looking for a sales Manager to join our team.
JOB PURPOSE
• To build packaging and export business by identifying and prospecting clients.
• To take clients through the products offered by the company until execution of sales.
• Undertaking aggressive sales to achieve set sales targets continuously.
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
ESSENTIALS
• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Sales and marketing or a Business related course from a recognized learning institution.
• Minimum of Five years’ in a similar role.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
1. Account management:
Service current accounts and develop new accounts to meet sales targetsthrough effective technical sales presentations and utilisation of supportservices.
2. Business Development:
To source and secure new diaries and notebook business to ensure optimalgrowth for the company products, in accordance with new business targets set.
3. Market Research/ Intelligence
Remain informed and up to date with regards to Industry related news, competitoractivity, product knowledge and continuously strive to develop own skills andknowledge in order to perform optimally.
4. Customer Service:
To provide effective, efficient, professional service and advice toensure client satisfaction of the highest level through effective and efficientmanagement of individual portfolio and database of prospects, current clientsand past clients.
5. Credit Management
Works with Accounts Receivable to collect on accounts and to definecredit terms that will most likely achieve payment and retain the customer

SKILLS/ COMPETENCIES:
• Specific knowledge and experience in the Printing and packaging industry.
• Knowledge in regional and international markets
• General knowledge of Quality Assurance, Project management and Health and Safety regulations.
• Ability to manage numerous tasks in an environment of competing demands and deadlines.
• Proficient written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with little direction.
• Excellent negotiating skills,
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• High customer orientation.

Responsibilities

1. Undertakingaggressive diaries and notebooks sales to achieve set sales targetscontinuously.
2. Conductsmarket research and develops sales plans and updates periodically based onchanging market scenarios and insights from the prior quarters.
3. Identifybusiness opportunities by prospecting different clients and visiting thepotential customers for new business.
4. Prepare anddeliver appropriate presentations on products/ services to existing andpotential clients.
5. Negotiatethe terms of sales agreement and closing sales.
6. Ensure anysamples requested by clients are delivered in a timely manner to the client andfollow up to ensure they are returned or paid for.
7.  Follow upon client orders and escalate any bottlenecks being experienced.
8.  Maintainsrelationships with clients by providing support, information, and guidance;researching and recommending new opportunities.
9.  Create andsend accurate monthly reports that indicate Plan vs achieved sales, Reasons forany shortfalls and Next month targets/ Projections.
10. Reply toRequest for Proposals, Tender Notices, and Price Quotations in a Timely manner.Submit a competitive analysis, budgeting, expected closure price and customerdetails for management review.
11. Ensure thatthe customers clear their dues within existing timelines. Work with theaccounts to identify any delays and with the Operations to mitigate any issuesbeing seen at the client end.
12. ObtainCustomer survey feedback within a stipulated period of time and initiateprogressive actions towards such feedback.
13.Any otherduties as directed by the management

Job Requirements

Required education: Diploma, Associate's degree
Required relevant work experience: 5 years
Required languages: English (Spoken: fluent | Written: fluent)
