Senior Accountant Job in Kenya at a Real Estate/ Sales & Marketing Company
- Our client is an established company engaging in sales & marketing and management of holiday home properties. They are looking to hire a Senior Accountant responsible for the financial management of the Company's operations and development. S/He will handle implementation and maintenance of the necessary systems and controls to safeguard the company's assets and maintain the integrity of its financial data and operations reporting to both the board and CEO.

Senior Accountant Job Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance and must be CPAK
2. 3 - 5 years' experience in a similar role at a supervisory level
3. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, knowledge and experience in using Accounting Software packages such as ERP, Payroll Plus & Quick-books
4. Proficiency in accounting packages
5. Suitable candidate should be of unquestionable integrity
6. They should also be dynamic and a team player
7. Should also have experience in internal auditing and in all areas of accounting
8. Ability to work to tight deadlines in a pressurized environment
9. Have high good attention to detail

Responsibilities


1. Handle budget preparations and analyze financial data
2. Discuss financial performance with management on a monthly and quarterly basis and assist in developing and implementing cost effective measures to reduce operational costs
3. Review all invoices for accuracy, appropriate supporting documentation and approval prior to posting in accounting system
4. Timely payment of vendors and suppliers & Maintain vendor files and contact lists Receivables
5. Prepare account reconciliations and financial statements on a monthly basis and report on variances
6. Recording of incoming payments 
7. Performing day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting and recording accounts receivables data
8. Generate and review aging report to ensure compliance
9. Timely preparation and filing of Withholding Tax, Withholding Vat and Value Added Tax
10. Computation of installment taxes and submission before due dates End Month/Year closing
11. Be actively involved in payroll preparations and ensure statutory deductions are made as per the set policies
13. Monitor and interpret cash flows and predict future trends
