TERMS OF SERVICE

Responsibilities

The officer’s main duty will be to assist the Registrar (Academic and Student Affair). Duties will include but not be limited to:

  1. Compiling programs on offer from schools and submit the same to KUCCPS to facilitate Government Sponsored Admissions.
  2. Coordinating the assigning of registration numbers, preparation of admission letters and facilitating the dispatch of letters to qualified candidates.
  3. Communicating to KUCCPS on issues related to KUCCPS programs.
  4. Organizing for the registration exercise for both new students and continuing students.
  5. Compiling undergraduate/post graduates programs of offer from schools and prepare for advertisement of the same.
  6. Prepare instruments for evaluation of applications into various programs.
  7. Attend to students request i.e. inter/intra school transfer, inter university transfer, deferments/ Semester offs, resumption/re-admission.
  8. Responding to questions on admission procedures from prospective students and the public.
  9. Coordinating with schools the evaluation and validation of applicants against laid down criteria.
  10. Communicating to sponsors and other interested parties/ organizations on issues related to the progress of the students.
  11. Preparing reports as requested by stakeholders e.g. CUE, MoEST, KUCCPS, KVB, NCK etc.
  12. Attending evaluation and validation of applications meetings as organized for schools.
  13. Ensure students records are well kept.
  14. Responsible for the issuance of result slips on request.
  15. Attend Deans Committee meetings.
  16. Providing of secretarial services as required.
  17. Perform any other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned by the Head of department/Supervisor.
