Job Application Procedure
Applications are invited from suitably qualified Ugandans to fill the positions existing in Ntoroko District Local Government. Applications in triplicate on PSC form (3) revised {2008), with three recent passport photos should be submitted to the Secretary, Ntoroko District Service Commission P.O BOX 563 Fort Portal, not later than four (4) weeks from the date of this advert.
Applications forms can be obtained from District Service Commission Offices and Public Service Commission Website.
Handwritten applications accompanied by curriculum vitae will also be accepted. Applicants already in government MUST route their applications through their employers who should be informed on the closing date to avoid delay. Certified copies of academic documents, National Identity Card, and other supporting documents must accompany the application. Original documents should not be sent. Applications must bear the title of the post applied for, the reference number, and the salary scale.

Job purpose:
To manage the sustainable harnessing of the environment within the District.
Qualifications:
An Honors Bachelor of Science Degree in either Botany; Zoology; Forestry; Environmental Management or any other relevant field from a recognized Institution

Responsibilities

i. Sensitizing the public on environmental policies, laws and programmes on conservation of the environment;
ii. Supporting community based initiatives on the renewal and sustainability of the natural environment;
iii. Training and sensitizing local communities and district officials on matters pertaining to the proper management of the environment;
iv. Monitoring and supervising environmental management programmes within the District; 
v. Disseminating information on the environmental degradation and renewal to the community;
vi. Enforcing the implementation of the National and District environmental action plans;
vii. Preparing and submitting reports on the state of the environment in the District;
viii. Preparing and submitting work plans and budgeting for environment management programmes; and
ix. Providing technical support to local environment committees on the implementation of environmental policies and programmes.

Job Requirements

Required education: Bachelor's degree
Required relevant work experience: 3 years
Required languages: English (Spoken: fluent | Written: fluent)
