Job Summary

Applications should be submitted in triplicate on Public Service Commission Form 3 (revised 2008) and submitted to the Secretary District Service, P.O.Box 1 Madi Okollo, to be received not later than 29th February 2020 The application Form are obtained from the Public Service Commission Offices, Farmers House, Second Floor, Parliament Avenue Kampala and District Service Commission Offices of Madi Okollo and Service Commissions Countrywide Applications should bear the Title of the POST: as well as the Reference number specified against the vacancy. Applicant should attach three (3) recent passport size photographs, Certified copies of their academic Certificates, Transcripts/result slips, copies of Registration Certificates and valid practicing Certificates license (for Health worker who are by law to register with relevant professional councils) plus other relevant documents. Hand written application with detailed Curriculum Vitae (CV) will be accepted Applicants already in Government Service should route their applications through their Responsible Officers who must be informed of the closing date to avoid delay. Applicants who shall not hear from the District Service Commission on completion of the Recruitment and Selection exercise should consider themselves unsuccessful.
Job purpose:
To plan, budget and coordinate the collection and allocation of funds in the District Council, to facilitate efficient and effective operations and development.

Responsibilities

i. Preparing and consolidating budgets and work plans;
ii. Preparing guidelines and plans for revenue collections;
iii. Planning and monitoring revenue collection in the District;
iv. Preparing supplementary estimates;
v. Enforcing adherence procedures for procurement of goods and services for the District;
vi. Preparing and reconciling periodical financial statements and reports;
vii. Providing technical support to the District on alternative resources of funds; and
viii. Introducing and maintaining Integrated Financial Management Systems.

Job Requirements

Required education: Bachelor's degree
Required relevant work experience: 3 years
Required languages: English (Spoken: fluent | Written: fluent)
