Job Summary

To manage the marketing and public relations policies and strategies of the University and act as a link between the University the public and other organizations with the aim of projecting the image of the University positively

Interested persons who meet the minimum requirements should submit their applications together with the following:

  1. A detailed and up-to-date Curriculum Vitae.
  2. Certified copies of academic transcripts, certificates, and professional qualifications, appointment letters, and in case of health workers; registration certificates and valid practicing license from relevant professional bodies.
  3. Names and addresses of three referees.
  4. Copies of the National Identity Card, birth certificate or copies of relevant pages of the passport and National ID indicating the applicant’s date of birth.


Responsibilities

  1. Project and promote the University image to the people and students in various institutions and schools.
  2. Oversee the development of programs to be placed in the Mass Media that will reflect the contribution of the University and its achievements in the provision of higher education.
  3. Oversee preparation and production of information about the University’s programs and activities through newsletters, bulletins, press releases and other publications
  4. Market the University programs through advertisements, exhibitions, radio and television talks, shows, and manuals or bulletins and conferences.
  5. Coordinate arrangements and preparations for University functions such as graduations.
  6. Provide feedback to Management on the opinion of the public about the University.
  7. Respond to public complaints about the University activities in accordance with the University’s communication strategy.
  8. Advise the Vice-Chancellor on the right course of action to take on major public complaints published in mass-media or in letters addressed to the Vice chancellor.
  9. Oversee the preparation of market surveys on the university’s products and services.
  10. Appraise the performance of staff in the Section and recommend appropriate action.
