Job Summary

Served for at least three (3) years in the grade of Assistant Engineer I (Mechanical), CSG 9 or in a comparable and relevant position in the public service;
A Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent and relevant qualification from a university recognized in Kenya;
Been registered by Engineers Registration Board of Kenya;
Current valid annual Practicing Licence from the Engineers Registration Board of Kenya;
Corporate Membership with the Institution of Engineers of Kenya (IEK);
Attended Senior Management Course lasting not less than four (4) weeks or equivalent qualification from a recognized Institution; and
Demonstrated general administrative ability required for direction, control and implementation of power generation projects.

Responsibilities

Designing and managing geophysical field projects;
Coordinating and compiling geophysical exploration reports;
Implementing geophysical exploration standards and guidelines;
Ensuring conformity to legislation and statutes related to geophysical exploration in geo-energy sector;
Analyzing geophysical data;
Interpreting data and preparing geophysical exploration reports;
Implementing recommendations of Environmental and Social Impact Assessment reports; and
Ensuring proper management of resources.

Required education: Diploma, Associate's degree
Required relevant work experience: 3 years
Required languages: English (Spoken: fluent | Written: fluent)
