The Social Media Manager is responsible for managing Client's presence in a number of digital and social media platforms. She/he will manage and engage digital audiences in a dynamic, interactive and meaningful way, and identify and create conversations around issues related to Client's mandate.
The SM Manager will carry out the job with full understanding of the Client’s mission while upholding the sensitivities of the website governance and complying with legal requirements to protect private information.
The successful candidate will have proven experience in running websites, leading social media engagement, and in compiling, writing, editing and posting content, photos and video.
The successful candidate will develop and implement digital strategies, make recommendations regarding the use of current and future digital channels, and provide guidance on quality content, strategy and capacity building.
This role is best suited for a hardworking, self-supervising, digital-savvy multitasker with a flair for writing, and comfortable in a dynamic consulting environment.
Serve as the lead content creator and editor for Client's social media platforms, refining and growing quality content, audiences and engagement.
Repurposes and formats content received in a variety of formats from content experts to align with Client’s communication strategy and publishes the materials on-line while ensuring consistency across all social media platforms.
Plan and coordinate social media activities across several platforms including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Google+, LinkedIn, Tumblr, Pinterest etc.
Lead on the creation of a weekly and monthly social media content management plan. Co-lead on the wider digital editorial plans.
Manage social media teams, writers, and their editorial outputs, supervise other digital colleagues in daily editorial processes and the moderation of all social media platforms.
Identify and recruit influencers and create conversations around issues related to Client’s mandate, keeping its digital community engaged in dynamic, interactive and meaningful ways.
Liaise and work with graphic designers as needed, to produce visuals and infographics for use in digital campaigns.
Use Google Analytics, Sprout and other measurement tools to provide reports on metrics, and continually find ways to improve on those metrics through testing and new initiatives
Assist on coordination of efforts among external partners (advertising, media and digital agencies).
Provide reports to management on status of social media activities, the amount and quality of content being created and provide recommendations on strategic digital initiatives, emerging technologies, and what can be done to improve our digital presence and deepen engagement with audience.
