Job DescriptionThe Federation of Kenya Employers (FKE) seeks to ensure that national labor and social policy provides an environment favorable to enterprise sustainability and job creation. We are seeking to engage a dynamic and results driven professionals to fill the position of a SOCIAL MEDIA OFFICER.
Qualifications and Experience
Proven working experience in social media marketing or as a digital media specialist for at least 2 years.
Excellent writing, editing (photo/video/text), presentation and communication skills
Demonstrate social networking experience and social analytics tools knowledge (Give links to profiles as examples)
Marketing/Communications/PR diploma/degree with relevant work experience.
Displays in-depth knowledge and understanding of social media platforms, their respective participants (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube etc.) and how each platform can be deployed in different scenarios.
Is a team player with the confidence to take the lead and guide other employees when necessary. (i.e.: content development, creation and editing of content, and online reputation management).
Possesses great ability to identify potential negative or crisis situation and apply conflict resolution principles to mitigate issues.

In conjunction with Marketing Manager, design digital media campaigns aligned with FKE’s Marketing & communication plan
Drive FKE on line marketing plan through the social media channels
Manage social media marketing campaigns and day-to-day activities including: Capture all events (images and video) organized by FKE or where FKE is represented and publish them on all FKE’s social media platforms.
Develop relevant content topics to reach FKE’s target customers. Monitor, listen and respond to FKE followers on Social media channels
Develop and expand community and/or influencer outreach efforts. Oversee design (i.e: Facebook Timeline cover, profile pic, thumbnails, ads, landing pages, Twitter profile, Blog, etc.).
Design, create and manage promotions and Social ad campaigns. Compile reports for management showing results (ROI).
Monitor trends in social media tools, applications, channels and use the most effective to achieve greater impact.
Identify threats and opportunities in user-generated content surrounding the company.
Report notable threats to appropriate management.
Monitor effective benchmarks (Best Practices) for measuring the impact of social media campaigns.
Analyze, review, and report on effectiveness of campaigns in an effort to maximize results.
