Job Summary

Applications are invited from the suitable qualified Ugandans to fill the under listed vacant posts that exist in Kalaki District Local Government. Application forms (PSC Form 3, revised 2008) to be completed in triplicate (Original handwriting) and the forms are obtainable from all Secretaries District Service Commission countrywide or Secretary Public Service Commission (PSC). Serving Officers must route their applications through their heads of departments who should be informed of the closing date to avoid delay. Only Certified photocopies of Academic Certificates, Transcripts, National Identity card and other relevant documents as well as 3 recent passport size photographs and day time telephone contact should accompany each application form.
Application should be submitted in triplicate to the Office of Chief Administrative Officer Kalaki, P. O. Box 722, Soroti not later than 6th March 2020.

Job purpose:
To undertake land surveys in the Local Government and verify survey results by privately companies and individuals.
Qualifications:
An Honors Bachelor of Science Degree in either Surveying; Geomatics or any other relevant field from a recognized Training Institution.

Responsibilities

i. Conducting the survey of Local Government land as requested by the relevant authorities;
ii. Providing technical support to the Local Government on land management issues;
iii. Supervising the drawing of land plans for accomplished surveys;
iv. Opening boundaries of Local Government land;
v. Verifying and authenticating deed plans;
vi. Providing technical support in solving land disputes;
vii. Coordinating and supervising contracted surveys;
viii. Verifying and approving completed cadastral surveys;
ix. Establishing and distributing control points for surveys;

x. Preparing and submitting work plans and budgets for land survey activities;

xi. Preparing and submitting technical and operational reports; and
xii. Requisitioning and accounting for resources and equipment for the Land Survey Unit.

Job Requirements

Required education: Diploma, Associate's degree
Required relevant work experience: 2 years
Required languages: English (Spoken: fluent | Written: fluent)
