The Stores Assistant will provide professional stores management support to the Project in line with the stores and stocks management and operational policies and guidelines, while ensuring value for money, efficiency and effectiveness.
This will include timely reporting of all stock status and movements and hence will require a fast learner, self-driven, seasoned, and experienced person with skills to manage and oversee these technical areas.
The person should have the capacity to work under minimum supervision, and maintain a clean stores record and transparent system while adhering to set procedures.
- Keep the store’s inventory records updated.
Actively participate in the receipt and issue of all supplies.
Maintain the stores in accordance with the set standards, and check that safety measures are in place and are adhered to.
The jobholder will minimize all areas of inventory and product damage and loss
Work closely with the supervisor to ensure sufficient space for all products received.
Track products’ expiry dates and dispatched supplies according to expiry dates (FeFo or FIFO) to avoid product expiry.
Work with the supervisor to ensure that supplies are dispatched in a timely manner, and to the intended beneficiaries, and that all deliverables are signed for.
- Actively participate in periodic stock counting/taking and compile reports.
