Job Summary

The overall objective of this position is to ensure that Hotel Inventory Stores are correctly maintained and controlled. To safeguard the financial integrity and stability of the hotel and minimize any exposure to potential risks. To receive, store, verify, label and issue goods following the established procedures. Ensure that items are stored correctly and maintained in a safe, sanitary and organized storage.The incumbent will report to Assistant Purchasing Manager.
  1. Degree/Diploma in Finance/ Accounting/Purchasing/Supply Chain.
  2. 2-3 years in stores and general accounting experience
  3. Experience in accounting software is a plus
  4. Knowledge of the generally accepted accounting principles and local regulations
  5. Proficiency in Excel and Word
  6. Experience in a similar role and proven track record may be considered in lieu of specialized education.
  7. Applies a professional, confidential and ethical approach at all times
  8. Works in a safe, prudent and organized manner
  9. Ability to handle high volume with attention to detail


Main Responsibilities

  1. Responsible for following and understanding all Kempinski Policies & Procedures.
  2. Responsible for behaving in a professional and harmonious manner and following the Kempinski code of conduct.
  3. Responsible for entering issued goods into the system when necessary.
  4. Responsible for maintaining proper labeling of items including name and dates, as well as the corresponding par levels.
  5. Responsible for issuing goods in a timely manner against the corresponding authorized requisition.
  6. Responsible for inventories of storerooms within the stipulated guidelines
  7. Responsible for alerting supervisor on dead or slow moving stock.
  8. Responsible for reviewing and recording any goods issued after hours.
  9. Responsible for ensuring that all storerooms are locked, supervised, organized, and clean at all times.
  10. Responsible for performing any additional duties assigned by Management and assisting in other areas of Purchasing as needed.
  11. Responsible for communicating with supervisor on any discrepancies or other potential problems
  12. Additional responsibilities and tasks can be added at any time according to the needs of the business and of the hotel.
