Job Summary



  1. Must have a Masters Degree in Guidance and Counseling/Psychology from a recognized University.
  2. Must have at least five (5) years experience in Administration of Student Affairs.

They should attach supporting certified copies of certificates and testimonials. Applicants should also indicate their current earning and salary expectations. Applicants should provide day time telephone number and names and addresses of three referees who are knowledgeable about applicants’ competence, area of specialization, character and faith. The applicants should also request their referees to write immediately and directly to the undersigned. Reporting to the Dean of Students

  1. Prepare and develop a comprehensive counseling Programme.
  2. Providing individual and group counseling services to meet the development, preventive and remedial needs of students.
  3. Undertaking comprehensive assessments of students’ psychological and social needs.
  4. Counseling students on HIV/Aids and participating in HIV/Aids related activities.
  5. Developing an effective delivery, review and evaluation of student counseling program.
  6. Consulting with students, parents, staff and community to assist in meeting the needs of students.
  7. Co-coordinating all counseling services to students.
  8. Participate in student appraisal for purpose of education placement of students by using appropriate educational assessment strategy.
  9. Accurately interpreting test results and other student data or report(s)
  10. Maintaining an up-to date data or information of students’ progress report.
  11. Counseling of staff members and participating in development of other staff wellness programmes.
  12. Perform any other duty assigned by University Authority.
