Job Summary

The Role
This role is responsible for production and maintenance of radio studio equipments to ensure the radio station remain on-air continuously. This will include undertaking broadcast operations, installations and servicing of broadcast systems in transmission areas and in studios.


Responsibilities

  1. Working with producers and performers about the desired production sound.
  2. Prepare for live recording sessions, placing microphones and other recording equipment and using computers to program equipment.
  3. May be required to record speech and music, or reproduce or copy sound recordings, synchronize dialogue, music and sound effects with visual and combine sounds during mixing or postproduction
  4. Keep records of the gear used in specifc recordings
  5. Set up and take down special equipment for sessions
  6. Report equipment problems such as broken kit components
