Job Summary

  2. Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DCI);
  3. Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA);
  4. Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP);
  5. Higher Education Loans Board;
  6. Professional bodies (where applicable) to which the applicant is a member e.g. LSK, ICPAK, AAK, IEK etc. and
  7. Credit Reference Bureau Africa Ltd or Metropol Credit Reference Bureau.

Responsibilities

  1. Responsible for development of procurement and supply chain management policies and procedures manuals in the Commission.
  2. Responsible for designing, planning, implementing, controlling and monitoring of supply chain activities in the Commission.
  3. Ensure the development of appropriate supply chain management accountability structures for effective and efficient service delivery and value for money.
  4. Develop and implement cost effective procurement, logistics, distribution, warehousing, storage, stock control and contract management strategies to ensure that they add value and meet the Commission’s objectives.
  5. Coordinate the development of Commission’s annual and multi-year procurement plans in liaison with other directorates and guide in their implementation.
  6. Oversee the preparation of tender documents, requests for proposals, and advise user departments in preparations of procurement specifications for various goods, works and services.
  7. Ensure maintenance and adequate record keeping of procurement Logistics and Warehousing records.
  8. Facilitate implementation of Government e-procurement in the Commission and ensure that supply chain management staff and users are adequately trained on the same.
  9. Ensure the Commission gets maximum value from the contract governance arrangements through performance management of suppliers.
  10. Ensure proper storage and warehousing of Commission’s stores and the security of the same,
  11. Ensure development and implementation of cost effective disposal policies and procedures for obsolete stores and equipment.
  12. Ensure development of directorate work plans and the implementation within approved budget.
  13. Ensure that the directorate is adequately resourced by professional and competent personnel,
  14. Supervision and work appraisal of staff under his/her command.

The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) is an independent regulatory agency that was founded in 2011 by the Constitution of Kenya. The Commission is responsible for conducting or supervising referenda and elections to any elective body or office established by the Constitution, and any other elections as prescribed by an Act of Parliament. It was created in a provision of the 2010 constitution and the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission Act. Its mandate includes; the continuous registration of voters and revision of the voter’s roll, the delimitation of constituencies and wards, the regulation of political parties process, the settlement of electoral disputes, the registration of candidates for elections, voter education, the facilitation of the observation, monitoring and evaluation of elections,the regulation of money spent by a candidate or party in respect of any election, the development of a code of conduct for candidates and parties, the monitoring of compliance with legislation on nomination of candidates by parties.
