Job Summary

A leading global producer of Calcium Carbonate & worldwide distributor of Specialty Chemicals is looking to fill the position of a Supply Chain Manager. The successful will lead the Supply Chain Management in Kenya to achieve maximum value for both Customers and the Company. The ideal candidate Must have experience in Chemicals/Minerals sector and have over 10yrs experience in Supply chain.


Responsibilities

  1. Manage the departments Customer Service & Logistics, Purchasing and Planning Optimization to ensure efficient operations of all supply chain functions.
  2. Work closely with Sales and Operations towards achieving the objective of on time in full delivery to our customers.
  3. Lead improvements of internal communication, planning optimization and reporting.
  4. Assumes operational and functional responsibility for all customer service and logistics as well as procurement activities.
  5. Overall responsibility for the planning process in the country.
  6. Ensures optimized Supply Chain networks (e.g. good relationships with vendors, flow of materials unhampered, on time order fulfillment, warehouses management, transport etc).
  7. Responsible for all forms of inbound and outbound logistics (on time and cost efficient).
  8. Responsible for implementing the strategies for procurement (as approved by VP Regional SCM).
  9. Interface with internal and external customers.
  10. Responsible to assist cost impact to customers to gain competitive advantage.
  11. Facilitate the integration of processes between Sales and Operations.
