Job Summary

As a Technical Advisor for Youth Employment and TVET with focus on Development of Cooperative Training and Strengthening of TVET Institutions, you work under the direct supervision of the Component Leader – Youth Employment & TVET. You will be responsible for:

  • Designing and coordinating Cooperative/ competence based & popularized training (theoretical and practical training) in selected TVET institutions
  • Development and organization of technical teachers training
  • Coordinating cooperative training implementation in industry and TVET Institutions
  • Strengthening the capacity of selected TVET institutions for the implementation of cooperative training with dual aspect


  • Support the improvement of institutional capacity of selected TVET institutions for the implementation of cooperative/ dual training in the selected technical occupations
  • Support and carry out organizational development and capacity development activities in the selected TVET institutions
  • Support development and organization of cooperative training in TVET Institutions and companies
  • Support the development and implementation of short-term and modularized trainings
  • Support development and adaptation of teaching, learning and assessment materials for the cooperative training courses
  • Support development of assessment tools and implementation of assessment
  • Organize and support the training of assessors and verifiers (from TVET institutions and Industry)
  • Ensure alignment of new training and employment promotion measures to existing structures and systems
  • Support development and organization of in-company trainer training
  • Quality assurance of cooperative training
  • Preparation and management of consultancy assignments by external experts and consultancies in the field of responsibility
  • Support programme monitoring and evaluation (M&E) and annual reporting
  • Support documentation and dissemination of good practices
  • Close cooperation with the International and National Experts of the programme
  • Participate and represent GIZ in relevant meetings directly related to the programme

Job Requirements

Required education: Bachelor's degree
Required relevant work experience: 5 years
Required languages: English (Spoken: fluent | Written: fluent)
