Opportunity
The USAID-funded Reproductive Health Voucher Program in Uganda aims to achieve measurable improvements in safe motherhood services by supporting health financing and innovative service delivery models in the private sector.
Under the direct supervision of the Chief of Party, the Communications Specialist is responsible for developing a communications plan, managing the production of project documents, and disseminating information about the Activity’s achievements.


Responsibilities

  1. Lead the production of project reports, including quarterly reports, annual report, work plan, etc., including editing, formatting, proofreading, and quality review.
  2. Support technical staff in production of technical documents.
  3. Provide oversight of community engagement agency to ensure strategic and technical soundness of all Activity’s demand generation and community level interventions to increase demand and utilization of vouchers for MNCH
  4. Work with the project teams to identify, develop, and share stories in various formats that show how the project has made an impact and help people understand what we do.
  5. Promote and disseminate materials and messages through multiple communications channels, including the Abt’s website, partner and association websites, social media and print.
  6. Manage the production of project e-newsletter.
  7. Serve as an active contributor generating, developing, and communicating new ideas, working with team to identify and apply new methods, tools and platforms for 1) promoting the achievements, 2) helping to communicate key messages, and 3) sharing knowledge, tools and practices.
  8. Develop, maintain, and update general project communications materials to keep current; materials may include one-pagers, briefs, etc
