Job Summary

Required for 3 months, The Physical Education (P.E.)Teacher is a member of the Senior School at The Aga Khan Academy, Mombasa and plays an instrumental role in realizing the vision and mission of the network of Academies. We look to the physical and health education Teacher to empower students to understand and appreciate the value of being physically active and to develop the motivation for making healthy life choices.

• Track record of producing exemplary results at the IB Exams or Moderation.
• Grounded knowledge in educational research
• Willingness to engage with faculty members across the grade 1–12 continuum.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Effective delivery of the MYP & PYP programs.
• Use of a range of monitoring and assessment strategies
• Contributes to collaborative planning of the PYP/MYP curriculum
• Create an enabling teaching and learning classroom environment
• Supervision of Personal Project
• Contribution to the development of enrichment and residential experiences for students
• Through Collaborative planning, deliver P.E. lessons as required across the School.
• Classroom teaching as required.
