We currently have an exciting career opportunity for the position of UI/UX, ICT Department.



Role Purpose
The job holder will be responsible for interpreting business needs and design concepts and digital content with high visual impact, to communicate ideas that inspire, inform, and captivate consumers. The ideal candidate should have an eye for clean and artful design, possess superior user interface skills and be able to translate high-level requirements into interaction flows, artifacts, and beautiful, intuitive, and functional user interfaces.
The post holder will report to the Head of Digital and will be based at the Head Office in Nairobi.

Responsibilities

1. Collaborate with multiple business units to define and implement innovative design solutions

2. Exercise judgment in determining both the strategic and tactical approaches for project specific design initiatives
3. Execute all visual design stages from concept to final hand-off for development
4. Conceptualize original ideas that bring simplicity and user friendliness to complex design roadblocks
5. Create wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows and site maps to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas
6. Present and defend designs and key milestone deliverables to team members and executive level stakeholders
7. Conduct user research and evaluate user feedback
8. Establish and promote design guidelines, best practices and standards
9. Maintain technical knowledge by attending design workshops; reviewing professional publications and participating in professional societies
10. Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
11. Provide leadership to the design team
12. Content Development: Lead the creation of digital assets for use or publication on Jubilee Insurance digital platforms
13. Product Definition: Turn insights from design and business research into design requirements for Jubilee Insurance digital products
14. Collect and evaluate data associated with customer needs and market trends, through customer focus groups, customer satisfaction measurement, field testing and other data collection tools with regard to Jubilee Insurance digital products
15. Competitor Analysis: Evaluate competitor strategies to identify strengths and weaknesses  relative to Jubilee Insurance digital products
16. Collaborate with the entire development team throughout the planning and execution of web and mobile application development projects to ensure compliance with the latest user interface design trends, practices and standards
17. Lead investigative studies that seek to understand user behavior and attitudes to facilitate testing and iteration of mobile and web application mock-ups
