SEO Project Manager
ANMG Limited owns and operates mobile content websites in twelve countries across Africa and is rapidly growing through a combination of first-mover status, proprietary technology, and the opportunities that only Africa presents digitally.
Across our growing network of sites, we are intent on fully maximizing our opportunities with Search Engine Optimization and as such have engaged with RankUno – a top SEO firm in India.
RankUno is providing consistent recommendations for improvements in our program – ranging from technical recommendations, recommendations for new sites and networks as along how to improve our SEO traffic on our current sites.
RankUno also provides content recommendations and for some sites, SEO content that we need to use to maximize our traffic.
We need a digitally experienced leader to work under our Director of Technology and SEO, Andrew Ngotho to then lead these projects with RankUno, our internal teams, our company leadership, and with Codica (our Ukraine-based technology/development partner) to create the best in Africa SEO program.
What we’re looking for:
We are seeking to add a motivated, digitally-driven project manager to manage our SEO Program in its entirety from our office in Nairobi (Kilimani, Pinetree Plaza.) This manager will work constantly in creating an efficient hub for this project – working and communicating daily with the RankUno team, and also working with the teams across Africa; the technology team in Ukraine, and company leadership.
In this position, you will anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, and take responsibility for delivering solutions and improvements to the SEO program in a timely manner.
You will be expected to clearly communicate goals, roles, responsibilities, and desired outcomes to cross-functional teams. You will help identify, prioritize, and advocate for the largest opportunities with the SEO Program; and build the team as needed to grow the results.
We are looking for an individual who will be responsible for planning, implementing, and managing the company's overall SEO strategy. Online presence is extremely important for business success. SEO content and organic traffic are a significant part of our strategy for growth. This position will play a huge role in driving our business growth and success.
It is very important to note that execution of the program is not success – success is determined by a constant, consistent, and best in industry rise of organic traffic across all ecosystems and sites – with each month showing improvement and growth from the previous month.
Duties and responsibilities
Plan, develop and implement long and short-term SEO strategies
Work towards organic search optimization and growth of organic traffic
Regularly perform thorough keywords research
Develop off-page optimization initiatives, such as link-building
Collaborate with creative and marketing teams to produce engaging, relevant content
Collaborate with web developers and content team
Track key performance indicators (KPIs), report rankings, and recommend tactics to optimize further
Identify problems and implement solutions in a timely manner
Research and report relevant search engine keywords and trends
Stay on top of SEO best practices and marketing trends
Required skills and qualifications
3 - 5 years of experience in planning and implementing a successful SEO strategy and growing organic traffic as SEO manager or similar role
Knowledge of website analytics and measurement platforms including Google Analytics and Search Console and SEO tools such as Ahrefs
Educational background in IT, marketing, or similar relevant field
Expertise in current SEO best practices
Knowledge in using content management systems (CMS) to optimize websites and working knowledge of SEO copywriting
Strong leadership and organizational skills
Analytical, results-driven mindset
Good time-management skills
Great interpersonal and communication skills
