The job holder will be responsible for ensuring accurate dispensing of prescribed medicines, patient counselling, proper handling of pharmaceutical supplies, and provision of quality pharmaceutical services.

Desirable Competencies.

  • Exceptional communication and customer service skills.

  • Diligence and accuracy.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Diploma in Pharmacy or Pharmaceutical Technology from a recognized institution.

  • Valid registration and licensing by the Pharmacy and Poisons Board of Kenya.

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Pharmaceutical Technologist.


  • Responsibilities
    The job holder will be responsible for ensuring accurate dispensing of prescribed medicines, patient counselling, proper handling of pharmaceutical supplies, and provision of quality pharmaceutical services.

    • Prepare prescribed medication for patients.
    • Maintain
      accurate records of patient information, prescriptions, and inventory
      levels,

    • Collaborate with team members to ensure optimal patient care.

    • Verify, interpret, process orders, and dispense prescription medications accurately, and efficiently according to established protocols.

    • Advice patients on medication usage, dosage instructions, and other necessary information.

    • Monitor
      medication storage conditions and inventory levels, ensuring that
      essential stocks are available in the pharmacy at all times.

    • Implement
      quality assurance and control measures to uphold medication safety and
      effectiveness.

    • Stay
      updated on pharmaceutical regulations, industry trends, and best
      practices.

    • Conduct
      continuous medical education sessions relating to drugs and other health
      care products.
