- KCSE Certificate
- Diploma in any of the following disciplines: Kenya Registered Community Health Nursing, Kenya Registered Nursing, or Kenya Registered Nursing in Mental Health and Psychiatry from a recognized institution
- Higher Diploma in critical care or its equivalent from a recognized institution
- Nursing Registration Certificate issued by the Nursing Council of Kenya
- Valid practicing license from the Nursing Council of Kenya
- Two (2) years’ work experience in Peri-Operative/Theatre Nursing and care
Responsibilities
Requirements for appointment
- KCSE Certificate
- Diploma in any of the following disciplines: Kenya Registered Community Health Nursing, Kenya Registered Nursing, or Kenya Registered Nursing in Mental Health and Psychiatry from a recognized institution
- Higher Diploma in critical care or its equivalent from a recognized institution
- Nursing Registration Certificate issued by the Nursing Council of Kenya
- Valid practicing license from the Nursing Council of Kenya
- Two (2) years’ work experience in Peri-Operative/Theatre Nursing and care
- Monitoring patient outcomes
- Providing appropriate healthcare services including Integrated Management of Childhood Illnesses (IMCI), immunization, PMTCT, ante-natal care and delivery
- Providing health education and counseling to patients/clients and community on identified health needs
- Providing critical care Nursing and patient support
- Providing Perioperative Nursing care and Support
- Handling and providing nursing care to mental health patients
- Facilitating patients' admission and initiating discharge plans;
- Maintaining records on patients/clients’ health condition and care; ensuring a tidy and safe clinical environment; and
- Collecting and compiling data.
- Performing any other duty that may be assigned by the supervisor.
