We are currently seeking a qualified candidate to fill the role of Head of Commercial. This position holds oversight over strategy, annual operating plans, growth plans, and P&L management for the commercial sector, as well as broader-based performance reporting. The Head of Commercial will be responsible for overseeing sales and distribution, call center operations, and supplier relations management.

Key responsibilities include creating a modern and impactful customer-focused sales function, driving the implementation of commercial strategies to ensure financial performance driven by brand customer requirements, coverage, and distribution.


Responsibilities

We are currently seeking a qualified candidate to fill the role of Head of Commercial. This position holds oversight over strategy, annual operating plans, growth plans, and P&L management for the commercial sector, as well as broader-based performance reporting. The Head of Commercial will be responsible for overseeing sales and distribution, call center operations, and supplier relations management.

Key responsibilities include creating a modern and impactful customer-focused sales function, driving the implementation of commercial strategies to ensure financial performance driven by brand customer requirements, coverage, and distribution.


1. Developing and implementing commercial strategy. Implementing an innovative, growth focused strategy, focusing primarily on existing, new product areas and emerging markets.

2. Continually monitoring business performance against the business plans and steering the business back on course and when needed.

3. Understanding the value drivers of the business and identifying profitable commercial opportunities to grow revenue and market share.

4. Maintaining an awareness of external factors (including competitors, government business initiatives, current and proposed legislation in relation to mobile activities) which impact the business and using such information to inform the business plan.

5. Working alongside the marketing team to drive market definition, brand development positioning and ensuring that these are communicated optimally, to ensure maximum business results.

6. Developing and maintaining an excellent understanding of the key customers/target audience to ensure that their needs are being met and that their business is retained.

7. Championing and leading each new product or service development, from innovation through to successful implementation across the business function, to enable it to become a core part of the business.

8. Reviewing and assessing the potential to develop strategic partnerships with sector specialists. Oversee effective management of contracting.

9. Drive customer focus across the business by overseeing regular reviews with customers, to ensure that their needs are being met and that excellent customer service is achieved and, developing future improvements/services for the customers.

10. Leading and motivating the team to deliver results.
