We are looking for an Associate Product Manager. This role is designed to give talented professionals with cross-functional skills an entry point into product management. We see product management as a through line from truly understanding our users; to understanding their problems; to balancing the trade-offs inherent in various solutions to those problems; to collaborating with design, engineering, and other internal stakeholders in prioritizing the right solution to build; getting it built as expected; and measuring results to make sure it meets the user’s needs. In this role, you’ll be a key contributor to each of those steps of the product development process, and more.

This role reports to the lead Product Manager of one of our agile scrum teams. Your day-to-day responsibilities will depend on the team you join. Over time, your responsibilities will grow with your experience to include all of the below. You will start by working together with the lead PM on your team to help you focus and grow into the role over time.

The expectations in this role are as follows;

    • You are an excellent collaborator. You know how to find the right methods to communicate with the right people at the right time.
    • Specifically, you will collaborate closely with engineers during the development cycle to understand constraints and benefits as they arise and translate the trade-offs to relevant stakeholders.
    • You will manage the preparations for user testing and pilots. You will also make sure we’ve collated the data from these tests in such a way that insights can be made clear.
    • You will develop rapport with user groups and stakeholders so that you can document and distill their feature requests.
    • You will ensure that nothing blocks the team from working on what needs to be worked on. You will help refine the development backlog by following up with stakeholders to ensure that all upcoming user stories and bugs meet the teams’ “definition of ready”.
    • You will collaborate with the rest of the team to develop clear release notes and materials to train the trainers, ensuring new solutions are clear and will be easily adopted.
    • You will take part in monitoring the performance of our live features and proactively seeking insights in our data to drive improvements.
    • You will advocate for our customers every day.

Requirements for the role;

    • Education: No requirement
    • 2-4 years of experience in a cross-functional role
