Job Brief

To assist the Financial Controller in the effective management of the hotel’s overall finance and accounting functions, preparation of financial reports, analyzes, forecasts and budgets, paying
particular attention to the maintenance of high accounting standards, management information
and controls consistent with the statutory requirements and the property needs.

Job Brief

To assist the Financial Controller in the effective management of the hotel’s overall finance and accounting functions, preparation of financial reports, analyzes, forecasts and budgets, paying
particular attention to the maintenance of high accounting standards, management information
and controls consistent with the statutory requirements and the property needs.

• Supervise the entire accounts department including cashiers, income/night auditors, cost controller, accounts payables, accounts receivables, procurement, accounts assistants, storekeeper etc.
  

• Ensure compliance with general accounting standards, procedures, and company financial regulations.
  

• Ensure the timely reporting of all financial information; monthly, quarterly and yearly.
  

• Analyze financial results, including corrective actions to address adverse performance.
  

• Assisting in preparing budgets.
  

• Maintain Cost Control records and taking of accurate physical inventories.
  

• Ensure compliance with all tax matters and statutory requirements.
  

• Prepare periodic reports that compare budgeted costs to actual costs.
  

• Prepare monthly bank reconciliations and cash flows statements.
  

• Approve daily sales reports and ensuring all reports are prepared and issued on a timely basis by the income / night auditor.
  

• Ensure the accurate and timely processing of pay transactions.
  

• Assist in development and implementation of new procedures and features and ensure that the recommendations by both the internal and external audits of the follow-ups and corrections of the weak points raised.
  

• Evaluates receipts, expenditure forms, purchase orders, distributions, and disbursement orders for the purpose of ensuring compliance.
  

• Provides reports as required by the Financial Controller/Management.
  

Key Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
  

• Must have a CPA-K
  

• Must demonstrate the ability to handle multiple and conflicting priorities, and work under strict deadlines;
  

• Should have industry related experience in a similar operation;
  

• Should have strong analytical and be result-oriented;
  

• Must have high standards of integrity and ethical practice;
  

• Must have management and Leadership skills
