We are looking for a self-driven professional in this field to take full responsibility for all of the hotel's events spaces including dining rooms, conference rooms, large ballroom, and outdoor event spaces as well as inspiring teams to deliver on the promise to our guests.

We are looking for a self-driven professional in this field to take full responsibility for all of the hotel's events spaces including dining rooms, conference rooms, large ballroom, and outdoor event spaces as well as inspiring teams to deliver on the promise to our guests.


  • Receiving, handling and converting Meetings, Events and Group enquiries

  • Planning events in conjunction with the sales team and the client

  • Presenting and selling available and suitable banquet/event options to the highest possible standard

  • Contact meeting organizers by mail, telephone, customer and site inspections

  • Arrange and carry out hotel show rounds where applicable

  • Ensure the complete administration and execution of all planned events

  • Negotiate space, dates and rates to obtain booking goal while focusing on shoulder and off season business

  • Identify need periods and undertake comprehensive program of sales activity to be in line with the overall business strategy

  • Assist in development and solicitation of banquet and event package plans aimed at conference business and encouraging repeat business

  • Actively managing business bookings, keeping records

  • Make commercial decisions to maximize MICE income on a daily basis

  • Encouraging repeat business through excellent customer service and inquiry handling

  • Build strong relationships with customers to fully understand their needs

  • Keep an active of the conference business by monitoring 6-months availability to highlight high/low demand dates and take steps to minimize the risk of any shortfall or overbooking

  • Helping the hotel to identify new avenues of business and bring in more banquet events to the hotel

  • Assist in the preparation and monitoring of sales, department and budgetary reports as and when required

  • Other duties and tasks assigned by the management within the job scope


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Sales/Marketing/Food & Beverage or related field

  • 3+ years working experience in a similar role with proven track record of excellence

  • Proficient in using CRM, MS office software applications including MS office, Excel, Power point

  • Demonstrable experience leading and managing a dynamic meeting & events team

  • Highly creative with excellent problem resolution skills

  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills

  • Up-to-date on the latest /systems in events management within hospitality industry
