Objectives of the assignment:
- Mobilize and organize for a regional in-person Women and Youth Led organizations workshop on effective engagement in humanitarian action;
- Develop the capacity of women and youth led organizations to strengthen their engagement and influence in humanitarian action;
- Strengthen partnership with WLO and youth led organizations.
Required Skills and Experience
Education:
- Master's Degree in the field of, Disaster Risk Management, Humanitarian Affairs, Conflict Management, Social Sciences, Gender Equality, Program Management, or another related field;
Experience:
- At least 6 years of experience in the development sector preferably in Disaster, Humanitarian, Conflict Prevention and Gender issues;
- Experience in undertaking research on humanitarian programming initiatives that target women and youth in developing countries and fragile contexts;
- Experience in design and delivery of training modules that target diverse audiences;
- Knowledge of policies and legal frameworks on gender equality, Disaster and Humanitarian crisis;
- Experience in communication, documentation and reporting.

- Mobilize Women and youth led organizations based on the just concluded mapping and identify the participants for the workshop;
- With support from the humanitarian team, prepare materials for the workshop comprising of the list of participants, agenda, logistic note and support travel plans of the participants;
- Prepare training materials including power points for the training and any other materials needed to effectively deliver the training;
- Facilitate the three-day in-person training;
- Prepare a training report.
