Job Specification

For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:

1. KCSE D+ or equivalent from a recognized institution;
   
2. Valid driving license class BCE;
   
3. Trade Test for Drivers Grade III;
   
4. First-Aid Certificate Course lasting not less than one (1) week from a recognized institution;
   
5. Four (4) years’ experience; and
   
6. Fulfilled the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution.

2. Carrying out routine checks on vehicles;
   
3. Detecting and reporting malfunctioning of vehicles system;
   
4. Maintaining records of vehicles;
   
5. Ensuring security and safety of the vehicle;
   
6. Overseeing safety of the passengers and/or goods therein;
   
7. Maintaining cleanliness of the vehicle;
   
8. Ensuring adherence to traffic laws; and
   
9. Reporting any accidents to police and/or the office immediately they
