To oversee all fraud management processes and procedures, comprising fraud awareness activities, fraud detection, fraud prevention and fraud investigations. The job holder will be responsible for developing processes and procedures to carry out effective fraud risk assessments, identify and follow through on identified fraud flags, conduct and lead fraud investigations in accordance with appropriate investigation standards, liaise with internal control owners to enhance internal controls to mitigate fraud risks, and represent the company’s interests in DC hearings, litigation and regulatory matters where or when their work is relied upon.
Develop and execute a Fraud management strategy.
Develop and maintain fraud policies, train and continuously inform employees and third parties on the requirements of policy.
Responsible for companywide fraud risk assessment, resolution of fraud flags and enhancement of internal controls to mitigate losses from fraudulent activity.
Implement an automated and continuous Fraud monitoring process to identify fraud flags and define a framework of resolving identified fraud flags.
Determine techniques to improve fraud detection including identifying new patterns of fraud.
Responsible for planning and conducting investigations, providing advice and preparing reports and briefs of evidence, for potential prosecution, disciplinary action or referral to other regulatory bodies, into allegations of misconduct including, asset misappropriation, fraud, bribery and corruption, cybercrime, money laundering, intellectual property theft, and non-compliance with laws and regulations, among others.
Review process, systems and transactions to identify fraudulent activity such as theft and similar other risks and escalate them. Work with business units in identifying key fraud risk areas and advising on controls to minimize such risks.
Lead and conduct fraud investigations in coordination with appropriate fraud investigation standards and that can be relied upon in a litigation process.
Maintain records of all fraud investigative operations and results of analysis.
Certified Fraud Analyst / CPA / CISA / Or other related professional qualification
A minimum of 3 years of active fraud investigations within the telecommunications or related industry or in a government investigative authority.
