Qualifications
- 1st degree in business related studies
- A fully qualified Accountant in CPA(K), ACCA or its equivalent.
- CFA qualification is an added advantage.
- Sound training on treasury and corporate finance management skills
Experience
- Over 5 years post qualification experience as a Treasury Analyst or in financial management field
- In depth knowledge of international trade & finance and world economic trends with particular emphasis on fundamentals driving interest rates, exchange rates and general economic growth.
- In-depth knowledge of East African region money and capital markets
- Excellent Microsoft Excel and Financial Modelling skills.
- Wide accounting knowledge, experience, and ability to use wide range of computer packages

- Support in the monitoring of daily liquidity, suppliers’ payments, and counterparty credit limits
- Offering treasury support to the operating Business Units to optimize cash across the Group.
- Work with DBSI on preparation and presentation of monthly and quarterly treasury reports to management
- Preparation and maintenance of the rolling cash flow forecasts for the Business Units and Group.
- Support in the administration of bank accounts (including opening and closing accounts, change of bank account mandates and KYC requests)
- Support the execution of bank guarantees and letters of credit.
- Play a key role in the implementation of the Treasury CARM controls.
- Support in the development and monitoring of the Capital Structures for EABL and its subsidiaries and monitoring the adherence to bank covenants.
- Periodic analysis of foreign exchange exposures on group currency portfolio in conjunction with DBSI
- Other ad hoc Treasury projects as allocated.
