The incumbent of the position is responsible for administering the Eligible Family Member Program and assisting with the American HR Portfolio, supporting 31 U.S. government agencies and offices, over 1,500 Chief of Mission personnel, and close to $1 billion in resources. The incumbent analyzes a wide range of complex State Department, Office of Personnel Management (OPM), and Labor Department rules and regulations, and resolves problems/situations that relate to appointments, security clearances, terminations/resignations, pay adjustments, and leave. The incumbent works collaboratively with two Human Resources Assistants, one Human Resources Clerk, and one Human Resources Assistant – Team Lead on the American Portfolio. The incumbent is supervised by the Senior Human Resources Officer (SHRO).
