This is a full-time entry level role for a Human Resource Assistant based in Nairobi County, Kenya. The Human Resource Assistant will be responsible for day-to-day HR tasks, including HR management, benefits administration, training, and managing the Human Resources Information System (HRIS). The assistant will play a crucial role in maintaining employee records, supporting recruitment, ensuring compliance with labor laws, and providing support to the HR team.


Responsibilities
This is a full-time entry level role for a Human Resource Assistant based in Nairobi County, Kenya. The Human Resource Assistant will be responsible for day-to-day HR tasks, including HR management, benefits administration, training, and managing the Human Resources Information System (HRIS). The assistant will play a crucial role in maintaining employee records, supporting recruitment, ensuring compliance with labor laws, and providing support to the HR team.


  1. Assist in the recruitment process by coordinating job postings, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and conducting reference checks.
  2. Support new employee onboarding and orientation processes, ensuring a smooth transition for new hires into the company.
  3. Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, including personnel files, HR databases, and HRIS systems.
  4. Handle employee inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures, and benefits, providing timely and helpful assistance.
  5. Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and best practices.
  6. Support performance management processes, including performance appraisals, goal setting, and employee development plans.
  7. Collaborate with management to resolve employee relations issues and address employee grievances in a fair and equitable manner.
  8. Conduct exit interviews and analyze data to identify trends and make recommendations for improving employee retention and satisfaction.
  9. Undertake any other HR-related tasks or projects as assigned by management from time to time, demonstrating flexibility and willingness to contribute to the overall success of the HR department and the organization. This may include special projects, process improvements, or ad-hoc assignments as needed to support the evolving needs of the company.
