We are looking for a professional and passionate Kitchen Stewards to join our team. He/She will be responsible for the supply of clean,sanitary dishes and pots on time, and a clean kitchen in accordance with thehotel’s policies and procedures, and general HACCP guidelines.

Job Brief

We are looking for a professional and passionate Kitchen Stewards to join our team. He/She will be responsible for the supply of clean,sanitary dishes and pots on time, and a clean kitchen in accordance with thehotel’s policies and procedures, and general HACCP guidelines.








  • Maintains supply ofclean dishes, glassware, silver, pots etc., for all outlets in the hotel


  • Washes dishes,silverware, and glassware by operating dish machine as per guidelines


  • Cleans and providespots for all outlets in the hotel


  • Washes pots and pansand returns them to proper storage/place after they are cleaned


  • Scrubs kettles asneeded


  • Places bus pans inchef’s line; cleans dirty dishes as needed


  • Keeps chef line wellstocked with china and hot plates to aid smooth kitchen operations


  • Keeps glassware organized at all times and stores clean dishes in the proper location whilstconsidering safety


  • Polishes all silverwhen needed


  • Picks up all dirty dishesin the employee cafeteria, and returns it to the proper location


  • Assists in thebreakdown of banquet functions, and washes dishes from functions


  • Maintains a cleankitchen environment by assisting kitchen staff by following standard cleaningpractices


  • Sweeps and mops theentire kitchen and dish room


  • Washes all clearingcounters and shelves


  • Washes mats with bleachafter each use


  • Assists kitchen staffwith set-up and break down of employee cafeteria


  • Cleans and washes allkitchen cooking units


  • Cleans and washes allpot storage shelving units


  • Assists kitchen staffin keeping their areas free of boxes and soiled equipment


  • Monitors trash levelsin all cans and removes to the appropriate trash room when needed


  • Follows proper safety,hygiene, and sanitation practices as guided by the Chief Steward, ExecutiveChef on laid down policies and procedures


  • Ensuring compliance to hotel policies and procedures and reporting breaches of the same when it occurs

  • Keeps all working areas hygienic at all times and according to the relevant policies and procedures in place

  • Communicates to Kitchen Leadership on all relevant & important matters

  • Report any equipment in need of repair or replacement to relevant teams as soon as it is
    occurs/need arises

  • Requirements:

    • At least a High School Certificate or Diploma in Hospitality related field or its equivalent
    • 3+ years of relevant experience in a similar operation with proven track record
    • Experience in a multi-outlet operation
    • The ability to remain positive and focused ina fast-paced environment
