Towertech Africa Limited is a leading and recognized East African manufacturer and supplier of a wide range of towers that include heavy to light duty self support lattice towers, single tube/monopoles towers, guy wired steel lattice towers and beautification steel towers for power transmission, wind energy, communication and street lighting. The Company is located in Ruaraka Industrial Area, Nairobi, Kenya.
We are seeking a strategic-minded, results-oriented and experienced professional to join our team as the Operations Manager. You will be charged with the overall responsibility for internal operations to ensure efficiency and productivity of the existing workforce.
Our ideal candidate should have a proven track record of strong and dynamic leadership as they will come in to optimise the current working systems and design new processes to ensure overall cleint needs are met.
Along with these key points, this position includes but is not limited to the following duties:
Strategy development & Delivery: Holding overall responsibility of the operations team and their delivery
Performance Management: Designing and implementing rigorous processes to deliver exceptional levels of performance for our customers, stakeholders, and shareholders.
Financial Management: Assisting the CEO in driving the team’s financial performance and effectiveness to achieve business profits; ensuring that set targets are met and guaranteeing business sustainability.
Reviewing the operations financial information and adjusting the operational budget to promote profitability and achievement of the team deliverables.
People Management: Create an open culture and one that fosters collaboration across multi-disciplinary teams and significant stakeholders.
Oversee the attraction and retention of good talent to work within commercial services while campaigning for the development
Reporting: Preparing and presenting key operation reports showcasing the business performance, identifying gaps, and proposing solutions to warrant alignment of key stakeholders on these issues.
Risk Management & Compliance: Leading all risk management activities in the operations team to ensure timely identification and mitigation of key risks to the business operations.
Supply chain management: Managing sourcing & procurement processes and coordinating proper material/resources allocation.
Stakeholder Management: Develop and maintain working relationships with business heads, key stakeholders, partners, and teams to ensure that current and future needs are identified and met.
A bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Commerce, or related field. A master’s degree is an added advantage
A minimum of 10 years’ relevant experience with a minimum of 5 years in a senior management role leading multiple teams
Experience in running operations in a manufacturing environment
A leader and builder of result oriented multi-functional teams that move quickly and adapt quickly to rapidly evolving business conditions
