We are looking for an exceptional individual with strong drive and initiative taking, who’s able to relate to managers at all levels (from team leader to factory manager) and coach them in the way they lead their teams. The Operations/ Standardization Change Agent should have a strong improvement management background, be able to implement standardized work and cascading performance dialogues in our team in Kilifi, Kenya. Furthermore, we want her/him to be able to design leader standard work and performance metrics.

● You will be working in a team of several other capability builders who have deep operational and managerial experience

● You will lead and project manage up to three projects simultaneously with support and coaching from your colleagues

● You will be responsible jointly with the manager of the department you are working with to achieve the performance improvement goals defined at the beginning of the projects

● You’ll define the metrics, agenda and structures to run weekly performance dialogues that start at the team level and cascade up to the senior leaders

● You will lead weekly department review meetings and tracking of actions

● You will Coach leaders at all levels (team to senior management) in performance dialogues, definition of performance metrics and leaders standard work

● You will improve and codify our standard approaches for roll out and specialization and collaborate with other improvement teams

Duties and Responsibilities

● Designing standardized work to improve process stability

● Defining the metrics, agenda and structures to run cascading performance dialogues

● Coaching managers in team leadership (e.g. running meetings, process confirmation)

● Working with improvement engineers to drive CI project

● Codifying approaches developed to be available for deployment

● Working within a team of change agents across the organization

● Running training sessions on specific topics

Qualifications

● Coaching and people management skills

● Improvement methods (e.g. standardized work, lean management, six sigma, root cause problem solving, etc.)

● Analytical skills

● Communication skills

● Leader Standard Work

● Experience in team leadership would be a plus.

● Experience with large-scale organizational CI efforts
