Under the supervision of the Finance and Service Director, the Project manager will review, consolidate and analyze the various plans and requirements of various stakeholders to with a view to design business requirements, and develop a business case presenting the identified alternatives and options.

Professional skills & competencies

  • Experience in project and change management.

  • Degree in related discipline (i.e. architecture, interior design, CRE & FM planning/coordination, facilities, project or construction management etc.) or related work experience in move management, furniture project management, space planning, interior architecture.

  • MSF experience is an asset.

Other Skills:

  • Ability to identify, measure and mitigate risks associated with a project.

  • Analytical skills

  • Knowledge and/or experience of real estate Aera

  • Knowledge and/or experience of real estate in Nairobi is an asset.

  • Experience in budget/cost management.

A.) Mapping of needs and requirements

  • Map Stakeholders form the steering committee and identify focal point to support the study (MSF EA, Hosted units, Technical support, Managing Section, Operational sections, missions in Kenya …).

  • Understand strategic needs, develop growth scenarios and estimate the headcounts on long term basis (5-10 years).

  • Establish specifications defining the geographical area to be explored, the functional requirement and the minimum surface to be sought during visits.

  • Study the context: urbanistic, administrative and regulatory, legislation, real estate market technic and any other element relevant to the project. Perform Visits of land and buildings to buy and rent order to complement desktop studies and interviews performed as part of the context study.

 B.) 

Analysis and development of Possible solutions/alternatives

  • Identify the possible solutions on the mid to long term – solutions might include without being limited to staying in current building with adjustment, renting or buying our own premises and building our own infrastructures.

  • Develop the business case and project charter with problem definition, requirements, alternatives, schedule, risks, logistics and budget required to obtain suitable office facilities.

  • Alternatives include but not limited to office relocation to a new rented space, building own infrastructures and staying in current premises.
