he APHRC invites applications for Qualitative and Quantitative Field Interviewers in a study that aims to understand the overall quality of Maternal, Newborn and Child Health (MNCH) services within health facilities in low-income settings. The study will explore readiness of facilities to provide MNCH services and the perception of quality of services from the patients and providers. The survey will take place between the month of November and December, 2022 in health facilities in Korogocho and Viwandani.

Minimum Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Clinical Medicine or any other related discipline.
  • Ability to conduct qualitative interviews in both Kiswahili and English.
  • Previous experience in translation and transcription of qualitative interviews will be an added advantage.
  • Must be a resident of Korogocho or Viwandani.
  • Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Conducting in-depth interviews with clients and health providers in selected facilities.
  • Ensuring that data integrity is always maintained while minimizing errors in data gathering and transmission.
  • Timely completion of scheduled activities and filing reports of work done.
  • Communicating promptly challenges and issues arising from the field to the team leaders and field supervisors.
  • Other related activities assigned by the supervisor and project manager.

QUANTITATIVE FIELD INTERVIEWERS

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Conducting quantitative surveys with clients in the selected health facilities.
  • Ensuring that data integrity is always maintained while minimizing errors in data gathering and transmission.
  • Timely completion of scheduled activities and filing reports of work done.
  • Communicating promptly challenges and issues arising from the field to the team leaders and field supervisors.
  • Other related activities assigned by the supervisor and project manager.
