Main Purpose of the Job

This position reports to the Chief Accountant and will be expected to provide technical leadership in all financial accounting matters for KENET in the preparation of financial statements in accordance with the International Accounting Standards and enforcing adequate internal controls within the organization. Suitable candidate will lead financial accounting, taxation and statutory compliance operations.

Requirements for the Job

The ideal candidate shall have a Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field, CPA (K) or ACCA with at least five years’ work experience in a busy accounting office or in audit, two of which should be at senior level in a medium-sized or large organization.

The candidate should be proficient in accounting software applications and use of ERP and have ability to interact with clients and donors at the highest levels and to simultaneously manage many tasks efficiently and effectively.

All candidates must have demonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills, high ethical and moral standards and capable of working in teams with limited supervision.
