For appointment to this grade a candidate must have: –

  1. At least four (4) years working experience in accounts or finance in the Public Service or Private Sector;
  2. Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following disciplines: -Commerce (Accounting/Finance Option), Finance, Business Administration, Business Management or equivalent qualifications from a recognized institution;
  3. Part III of Certified Public Accountant (CPA)K or equivalent qualifications;
  4. Membership of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK) or any other recognized professional body;
  5. Supervisory course lasting not less than two (2) weeks from a recognized institution;
  6. Proficiency in computer applications;
  7. Demonstrated results in work performance; and
  8. Fulfilled the requirements of Chapter Six of the constitution.

  1. Developing and implementation of NRFs investment plans and strategy;
  2. Identification of investment opportunities;
  3. Assist in investment negotiation;
  4. Managing allocated investment portfolios for the Fund;
  5. Assisting in identification and monitoring of risk and development of hedging;
  6. Mechanism and diversification strategies;
  7. Assist in undertaking Portfolio and Investment Research;
  8. Initiation of Investment request transactions;
  9. Maintenance of the investment register;
  10. Preparation of Investment reports;
  11. Keeping safe custody of investment records and Documents; and
  12. Developing the budget for the Department.
