Senior Business Development Officer at Upesi Money Transfer plays a crucial role in supporting
the Deputy Head of Business Development to achieve departmental goals. Senior BD
Officer will control and motivate a team of Business Development Officers,
ensuring they meet individual and team targets, and contribute to the
successful execution of business development initiatives.


Responsibilities
Senior Business Development Officer at Upesi Money Transfer plays a crucial role in supporting
the Deputy Head of Business Development to achieve departmental goals. Senior BD
Officer will control and motivate a team of Business Development Officers,
ensuring they meet individual and team targets, and contribute to the
successful execution of business development initiatives.



Key Responsibilities

 

  • Team Leadership:
    • Lead, coach, and mentor a team of Business
      Development Officers, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
    • Monitor individual and team performance and
      feedback to improve effectiveness and achieve targets.
    • Motivate and inspire the team to achieve
      their individual and departmental goals.
  • Sales Management:
    • Develop and implement sales strategies and
      action plans aligned with departmental and individual targets.
    • Assign leads and territories to Business
      Development Officers, ensuring efficient workload distribution.
    • Monitor sales activities and performance
      metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective
      actions.

 

 

  • Partnership Development:
    • Assist the Deputy Head of Business
      Development in identifying, evaluating, and securing potential
      partnerships.
    • Support the onboarding and management of
      existing partner relationships.
  • Market Expansion & Analysis:
    • Conduct comprehensive market research to
      identify new market opportunities for the company’s products and
      services.
    • Develop and implement market
      entry strategies for new
      geographical regions or customer segments.
    • Provide insights and recommendations to
      support the development and execution of strategic business plans.
    • Analyse competitor
      landscape and develop
      strategies to gain market share.
    • Establish and manage relationships
      with key partners to facilitate market access and distribution
      channels.

Lead Marketing Activities:

    • Develop and manage marketing campaigns
      across various channels together with Digital team (online, offline,
      social media, etc.)
    • Develop and implement a comprehensive
      marketing strategy aligned
      with the company's overall business objectives and market expansion
      goals.
    • Analyse marketing data and provide insights
      and recommendations to
      improve marketing efforts.
    • Manage marketing
      budgets and resources
      effectively.
    • Collaborate with other departments (e.g., Operations
      and Customer Care) to ensure alignment and effectiveness of marketing
      activities.

Reporting and
Administration:

    • Prepare regular reports on team performance,
      sales activity, and market trends.
    • Manage administrative tasks associated with
      the Business Development team.

Additional
Responsibilities:

    • Manage, oversee,
      and give timely training to the BD team also deputize the Deputy Head of Business Development in her
      absence.

 

 Qualifications & Skills

·      
BSc/BA in business management, marketing or sales related field.

·      
3+ years’ experience working in a business development role.

·      
An understanding of how interpret P&L, Earnings and Inventory
reports.

·      
Experience in customer support is a plus.

·      
Proficiency in MS office and CRM software (e.g. Salesforce)

·      
Money Transfer Market Knowledge

·      
Communication and negotiation skills.

·      
Time management and planning skills.
