Job Specification

For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:

1. Diploma in any of the following disciplines: Applied Sciences (Applied Chemistry, Analytical chemistry, Industrial Chemistry, applied Biology), Laboratory Technology, Biotechnology or equivalent qualifications from a recognized institution;
   
2. Two (2) years relevant experience; and
   
3. Fulfilled the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution.

1. Preparing media for semen and embryo processing,
   
2. Standardizing laboratory procedures and reagents;
   
3. Receiving, recording and packaging semen;
   
4. Dispatching, analyzing and preserving test samples;
   
5. Simple analytical work;
   
6. Preparing and maintaining culture;
   
7. Keeping laboratory records and storage of glassware; and
   
8. Collection and analysis of samples.
