The Operations lead is a pivotal role at PrimeJack, responsible for the development and implementation of food production and processing technologies. This position demands a candidate with more than 5 years of experience in a similar role, possessing a blend of technical expertise, leadership qualities, management and interpersonal skills. The role is key to ensuring that our products are produced efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards. Requirements

  • Degree in Food Engineering or related field
  • Over 5 years of experience in food production or R&D
  • Experience with food production equipment and technologies
  • Demonstrated success in a similar role
  • Willingness to travel to the processing hub in Kenya
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Motivated, organised and flexible

  • Improve existing food production and processing methods, playing an active role in the innovation and R&D process.
  • Scaling up of the current sourcing and production to continuously be ready for increased demand.
  • Lead the development and implementation of new food products and processes, in collaboration with the NL team, with a strong emphasis on R&D.
  • Actively troubleshoot and resolve technological issues in the factory, serving as a hands- on leader in determining and optimizing the right machinery and processes.
  • Ensure adherence to food safety and European quality regulations.
  • Work closely with and understand the dynamics of the processing hubs in both Uganda and Kenya, managing the balance of interests between the various companies.
  • Lead and manage projects and teams effectively, demonstrating Leadership and Teamwork aligned with our core values.
  • Overseeing and managing production budgets.
  • Working closely with the PrimeJack value chain.
