About
WHO WE ARE Romco is a UK multinational non-ferrous metal recycler with an emerging market focus. We work with the goal of creating sustainability, leveraging the trade industry of metal recycling by creating usable recycled metal ingots for manufacturers of a broad range of necessities, reducing the need for raw materials mining. Established in 2015, with headquarters in the UK and expansions across continents including Africa, we are a growing recycled commodities enterprise focused on communal and global impact. MISSION “Transforming the production of metals to help solve the climate crisis”. We have a serious metals production problem. Aluminium, for example, is responsible for almost 3% of the world’s 9.4 Gt of direct industrial CO2 emissions. That's the production of just one metal. We also have a serious waste problem. Consumption and waste are increasing at exponential rates — aluminium demand is expected to grow 80% by 2050 (IEA). We continue to mine more every year to keep up with demand. By recycling more metals from waste, particularly from burdened developing nations, we can reduce GHG emissions by up to 95%, improving our total GHG contribution to climate change, whilst diverting waste from landfill and limiting the need for raw materials mining of our dwindling ecosystems.WHO WE ARE Romco is a UK multinational non-ferrous metal recycler with an emerging market focus.
