Required Skills & Attributes

  • Minimum of a Diploma in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • 3-5 years experience in technical sales, preferably within the industrial machinery or manufacturing industry.
  • Strong understanding of grinding and welding processes, equipment, and applications.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Exceptional negotiation, persuasion, and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines.
  • Willingness to travel frequently within the assigned territory.
  • Experience in a similar role is an advantage.
  • Business-level fluency in major Nigerian languages, a plus.

Location and Travel:

  • This role is based in Lafia, Nasarawa, Nigeria
  • Will be required to work from rural areas and plant sites.

General:

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve and exceed sales targets for Appliances.
  • Identify and prospect potential customers within the designated territory or market segment.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and new clients through regular communication and visits.
  • Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to showcase the features, benefits, and capabilities of our machines.
  • Collaborate with the technical support team to address customer inquiries, resolve issues, and provide technical assistance as needed.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities to identify opportunities for business growth.
  • Prepare and submit accurate sales forecasts, reports, and other documentation as required by management.
  • Attend trade shows, conferences, and networking events to promote our products and expand the company's presence in the market.
  • Coordinate with the marketing team to develop promotional materials, campaigns, and initiatives to support sales efforts.
  • Continuously strive to enhance product knowledge, sales techniques, and professional skills through training and self-development activities.Qualifications
